Why Attend

Who Benefits?
You! An organization is as efficient as its ability to motivate its workforce! Any individual who is open to improving their personal and professional development will benefit by attending Day of Excellence.

The benefits extend past yourself or your workforce and improve the daily lives of those who attend.

You may qualify for Continuing Education Units/Professional Development by attending Day of Excellence. A certificate of attestation is included in the program for your submission.

When and Where?
Day of Excellence is generally held on a Wednesday in the Spring at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center Theater. The 2017 Day of Excellence will be Wednesday, April 5th.

Why attend Day of Excellence?
Personal and professional development training is vital to success and individual growth. However, it had not been readily available to local professionals in Rapid City. The “Day” will allow employers to provide employees with low-cost, high-quality training right here in Rapid City without excessive travel expenses. Day of Excellence is made possible by local organizations at an extremely reduced price.

“Congratulations on an amazing and impactful day! As a first-timer to this event, I had low expectations as to what a small city like Rapid City could bring in for speakers. I was floored! I could not believe the caliber of speakers; and I really love how they were all very different in their delivery. There literally was a style of speaker for everyone!

~ Kristen Waby, 2016 Day of Excellence attendee

“I have been to the event both years and think it is absolutely wonderful! If you want to improve your outlook and attitude to become a better employee, spouse, salesperson or friend, I highly recommend this event!”

~ Ken Beer, Modern Woodmen of America

“I have been fortunate enough to be involved with DOE as speaker, attendee and committee member. This is an event that needs to be experienced to fully understand and appreciate the impact it will have on your life. Surrounding yourself with people that encourage personal and professional growth will make you a better employee, co-worker, spouse and friend. Attending DOE is the best investment you can make in yourself!”

~ Donna Hanks, Western Dakota Tech Instructor and 2011 DOE Speaker
